Pet Safety Vehicle Seat Belt Harness Review
Pet Safety Vehicle Seat Belt Harness Review
I have a small pack of dogs that have been "failed fosters" and rescues through the years. Only my big dogs, for the most part are good riders in the car, but any chance they get, they want to go for a ride!
This seat belt harness is exactly what I've been trying to jerry-rig in my cars for nearly a decade, only tested and adjustable, and for use with any type of body harness your pet already wears. It comes in a 2-pack without instructions except for installation, which is as simple as clicking the harness into your existing seat belt receptacle. They are universal for all seat belts, and narrow enough even for compact vehicles.
I use both belts, one on either side of my dog, and adjust to give enough slack to sit upright. This also means that they still have the ability to lie down in the seat, as well. I'm sure one belt would do the trick, but it feels much more secure to have both connected simultaneously to restrict movement in case of an accident or quick stop.
I am very impressed with the functionality of the belts and the fact that someone finally put them into production! I encourage everyone who takes their dogs for rides, brings their service or therapy dogs with them, or just needs to transport without a carrier to invest in these!
