Ultimate Kitchen French Press Coffee Maker

Ultimate Kitchen French Press Coffee Maker

One of the easiest coffee makers to use, and completely bringing it back to basics, this French Press coffee maker is a dream come true! The flavor of French press coffee isn't like any other, you can make it as weak or as strong as you would like, depending on the amount of presses.

There are three primary working components of the French Press, the decanter itself, the lid which also houses a strainer, and the press apparatus. The mechanics behind making French Pressed coffee are to heat your water using an alternate source, place your coffee grounds (of any style and preferred amount of your choosing) in the base of the decanter, fill the water over into your carafe, place the press mechanism at the top of the container, press the lid into place, and apply pressure. The repeated presses to the plunger will apply pressure to the grounds, which each repeated press will strengthen the potency of your coffee. The result will be a customized cup of coffee, just for you.

The longer you leave it sitting, the darker, stronger, and more bitter your coffee will become. The French Press can also be used for cold brew coffees and teas using the same method, save for the heating of the water you are adding. The preferred amounts for a standard cup of coffee brewed at any traditional Coffee House is 5-6 tbsp ground, which are the equivalent of a half cup of beans after grinding. This amount will make approximately 2 cups, should you add the correct amount of water. This of course could be doubled, as it is a 4 cup press, however, when completely filled, presses are prone to spillage and sometimes mix inconsistently.
