Surviveware 7.5" Trauma EMT Survival Shears
Surviveware 7.5" Trauma EMT Survival Shears
Perfect for all emergent situations in which cutting is required, these shears will grab and cut, simultaneously, through gauze, bandages, tape, plastics, women materials, and even heavy fabric. To test these, I grabbed some old rags and stained yardwork clothes I was going to toss and started cutting until they were completely obliterated. Easily shred, even thicker materials like denim and canvas were able to be cut like butter. I was even able to cut through an old seat belt in a local junkyard with just a few squeezes of the handles. I am uncertain if they are painted, powder coated, or anodized, but none of the coloring was damaged through my trials. The plastic handles are surprisingly sturdier than they look, and could be made more comfortable, but then again, these scissors are made for emergency purposes and for convenience, not for long-term use. They are very lightweight and easily attached to a belt loop or an EMT kit bag without fear of accidental stabbing, since there is a rounded end specifically for safety. This also means that clothing can be quickly cut away in a trauma situation without worrying about accidentally cutting the client.
